Each year at the beginning of September, Dansk Varmblod celebrates the very best mares and foals at the Elite Mare Show at Vilhelmsborg. The Elite Foal Auction on Saturday evening attracts spectators and buyers from all over Northern Europe and is shown online on web streaming.

For the 32nd time the most important horse event in Denmark will take place from March 10th to 13th 2011 at Exhibition Centre Herning in Central Jutland. With more than 53.000 visitors, it is the place to be for sport horse enthusiasts from all over Northern Europe.

New Stallion Approved in the USA

Ripline, by Blue Hors Hotline owned and bred by Oak Hill Ranch, was approved on September 15, 2010.

New breed sire ready for 2011

The finally graded breed sire, Blue Hors Don Caruso is now visual on the stallion list with description from his selection in 2003 in Herning, Denmark.

Danish Warmbloods ranked 1 in new research

The Dutch company “Sport Horse Breeding” has conducted a new study on the breeding of dressage horses and has revealed a new ranking (as an alternative to the WBFSH ranking) on the world’s best dressage horse producing studbooks and countries.

Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing 10-13 March in Herning. Based on the presentation of young stallions during the first three days of the licensing the judges have selected 24 stallions for the final licensing Sunday, where premium stallions and champion stallions are appointed.

Older stallions with new bloodlines

Several of the older stallions licensed in Herning this year represent relatively new and rare bloodlines; not least the champion of the refinement stallions, the black Arabian “Zonyx”.

Spokes person of the Danish Warmblood licensing committee, Poul Graugaard, revealed the name of the new Stallion of Year during the stallion licensing on Sunday afternoon.
