A record breaking foal auction in Denmark
The Danish Warmblood Elite foal auction on September 6th turned out to become yet a tremendous success with several new price records.
Presenting the largest collection ever of 60 foals at auction Danish Warmblood was very pleased that more than 80% of the foals changed ownership.
The auction committee had succeeded in attracting a large number of regional show winners to go under the hammer. Nine foals sold for over 100,000 dkk which equals 13,400 euros.
A new overall price record was achieved just as well as the price record for a jumper foal and for a filly foal reached new heights.

Dressage colt of the year Møllegårdens Attention by Abanos / Bøgelys Camaro / Loran sold for 500,000 dkk (67,000 euros) to Tailormade Horses, Denmark.

Jumper colt of the year F.A. Cordeau by Colman / Quinar / Catago foal fetched the price of 400,000 dkk (54,000 euros) also sold to Tailormade Horses, Denmark.

Dressage filly of the year Jakas Lucienne by Blue Hors Don Romantic / Lauries Crusador XX / Akzent II was purchased by Blue Hors Dressage, Denmark for 325.000 dkk (44,000 euros).
The foals achieved an average price of 12,000 euros, and the Danish Warmblood Elite foal auction clearly did not fail to become a great success despite the evident market saturation.
